The earplugs preserve a comparatively good sound quality for a foam earplug. They are, therefore, also a good choice for concerts or other environments with loud music.

Sleeping


The earplugs provide high sound reduction, which is desired for sleeping. But there are softer earplugs available, which might be more comfortable to wear when sleeping (e.g. Hearos Ultimate Softness, Ohropax Soft, etc.).

Music

The Bilsom 303S earplugs provide high sound reduction, which is good for very loud concerts. The earplugs preserve a comparatively good sound quality for a foam earplug. They are, therefore, a good choice for concerts or other environments with loud music. If the concert is not so loud and only little sound reduction is desired, then other earplugs might then be a better choice (e.g Alpine PartyPlug, Etymotic ER20XS, etc.). And if really good sound quality is desired, then custom molded ER25 or ER15 earplugs would definitely be a better, but much more expensive, choice.

Shooting


The Bilsom 303 earplugs have high protection across all frequencies, which is strongly desired for shooting. They are a good choice. Stronger earplugs than the Bilsom 303 are available (e.g. Hearos Ultimate Softness). In addition, earmuffs should be worn.

Swimming

   ☆☆☆☆☆This earplug is not usable for swimming.

The Bilsom 303 earplugs are not suited for water sports, because they are foam earplugs and not a silicone or wax earplugs.

Motorcycle


The Bilsom 303 provide strong protection across all frequencies. This is desired for motorsports. For regular motorcycling, they should be strong enough. If one participates in abnormally loud sports, like NASCAR, then stronger earplugs might be tried.

Invisibility


When inserted correctly, then the earplugs will still be visible. The coloring of yellow and white also does not help to make the earplugs less visible.

Comfort


The earplugs feel somehwat hard, but once inserted, they feel good. They provide a tight seal.

Size


The Bilsom 303 earplugs are available in two sizes: 303S and 303L. Both have exactly the same sound reduction according to the attenuation specifications.
